BPCL showcased opportunities for investments in our upcoming Capex projects and in BPRL at World Petroleum Congress Exhibition 2017 from the 9th to 14th July 2017 at Istanbul. Also, opportunities for collaboration in R&D were highlighted. The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Petroleum & Natural Gas- Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
The India Pavilion had sections dedicated to all Major Oil PSUs-ONGC, OIL, GAIL, IOC, BPC, HPC and EIL. Also, there were sections for Govt. Entities like DGH and Invest India. The theme for WPC 2017 was- ‘Bridges to our Energy Future’ and India Pavilion was developed on the concept - “India- the Land of Opportunities”.
WPC Conference and Exhibition focused on uniting the upstream, midstream and downstream oil sectors in their quest for securing World’s energy needs and promoting energy independence. WPC has a reputation in international circles as one of the coveted forums for the global hydrocarbon industry by giving an impetus to pioneering technology. WPC Exhibition had participation of many Multinational Oil sector companies like British Petroleum, Total, Sinopec, Qatar Gas, Rosneft, etc.
The India pavilion was visited by many senior delegates from all over the world. The visitors appreciated the significant role played by BPCL in the growth of Indian Energy Sector and interacted with our officials.
