BPCL Bags Manufacturing Supply Chain Award

BPCL has been adjudged the Winner in Manufacturing Supply Chain Awards presented by Future Supply Chain Solutions Limited, under the category of “Quality Excellence in Planning, Processes & Systems” for the implementation of our Secondary Optimization pilot project in the Company.
The Award was received by Team SCO and Team Retail at the 9th Edition of Manufacturing Supply Chain Summit, which was held at ‘The Westin Garden City’, Goregaon East, Mumbai on 04.03.2020.
This award is in recognition of our efforts along with Retail Logistics, Finance & SCO who along with V Plus Transportation task force worked on Optimization of Secondary Distribution Network for Retail and suggested optimized linkages for distribution of MS/HSD from Primary Sources to Retail outlets. Aspentech PSCP (Petroleum Supply Chain Planner) was the LP tool used. The implementation started in the month of October 2019, in Maharashtra and was extended to the state of Tamil Nadu from December 2019 onwards. Till Feb-2020, the total savings on Secondary Optimization for Retail is Rs 2.53 Crores.
This initiative will be now rolled out PAN India from 1.4.2020.
