The scholarship I have received from BPCL will certainly lessen the burden of expenses I incur for the BCL at the University of Oxford. I hope to study constitutional law theory and law&development at Oxford. It is a vey commendable endeavour on BPCl's to assist students every year in fulfilling their dream of a quality education abroad. As a BPCL scholar, I recognise that I am expected to contribute to the growth of our country. After completing my BCL, I intend to return to India to teach at one of the national law schools.

Bharat Petroleum Scholarhip for higher studies is a great initiative. It will certainly reduce the financial burden of educational loan on my parents. It will also help me by reducing my dependence on on-campus jobs, thus helping me concentrate more on the academics. I will try my best to live up to the expectations and be a true BPCL scholar.

I am grateful for BPCL’s support by way of this scholarship – the financial load on my family is eased, enabling me to give full attention to the task of acquiring specialized knowledge and skills in the area of Marriage and Family Therapy. The experience I gain in America’s cross-cultural environment will help me give back to my country, which is facing psychological problems arising out of factors like rapid industrialization, nuclear family system, globalization etc.

My endeavours towards higher studies in English Literature in Cambridge were greatly hindered by financial constraints. I can now concentrate on my academic efforts with a confident mind, unbound by chains of a loan repayment. My childhood dream of studying wildlife conservation has come true and the BPCL has to be credited for making it happen. The BPCL scholarship shall allow me to focus totally on my studies and I wouldn't have to worry about expenses that are a major concern for most of the students who wish to study abroad. I aim to contribute towards saving the precious wildlife from disappearing from the face of the earth and BPCL's support has further enthused me to pursue my dreams.

My quest for knowledge and need of making a difference to the lives of people in my country, specially the rural parts, has made me desirous of pursuing a Masters program at the prestigious Stanford University. BPCL has helped me move closer to this dream by providing financial support at this very important juncture in my life. I truly admire this noble endeavor of BPCL’s of enabling students to make significant contributions to their nation.

Much needs to be done in the field of Public Health in India and the world over. By giving me this privilege of studying at one of the best schools of public health in the world, without financial constraints, BPCL will enable me to contribute my mite towards the revival and fulfillment of the Alma-Ata declaration of 1978 of “health for all” in the not-so-distant future. I promise to do BPCL proud!

In spite of having the potential and caliber, lot of people miss out on a chance to do graduate studies from a good university, because of the expense. And the BPCL scholarship goes a long way in helping few of those students fulfil their dream, each year. I am glad to be one of the BPCL scholars this year. Relieved of the initial expenditure, I can now spend more time on academics.

The Master in City Planning program in MIT is considered to be one of the most prestigious courses in urban planning. It is also one of the most expensive. I had taken an educational loan to cover my tuition expenses for the first year. Without the BPCL scholarship it would have been impossible for me to continue with the program. I am extremely grateful to BPCL for its generous support. During the course of the coming year, I plan to study how institutional and political factors influence outcomes of development projects, especially in the Indian context.
