It was a very special day for the employees of Bharat Oman
Refineries Limited (BORL) when the Hon’ble Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan
Singh visited Bina, Madhya Pradesh on 20th May to dedicate the new
Refinery to the nation. The Prime Minister was
accompanied on stage by His Excellency the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri
Rameshwar Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh
Chauhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri S. Jaipal Reddy, His
Excellency the Ambassador of Oman to India Sultan Humaid-Al Manni, Minister of
State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri R. P. N. Singh and Chairman of BORL,
Shri R. K. Singh.
The Prime
Minister then unveiled the plaque to commemorate this historic occasion and
turned the wheel in a symbolic gesture to activate the Refinery. A crescendo of drumbeats and a visual montage
accompanied this historic moment! It was a moment that would be etched in
people’s minds forever. In his address, the PM assured the people of M.P the
Government’s commitment to accelerate development in the state. He dwelt on the positive impact of the new
Refinery on the availability of petroleum products in the country a An
extremely auspicious beginning as the BORL team embarks on the challenging
journey of making Bina a truly world class Refinery.
